Dear colleagues of \u201cSs. Cyril and Methodius\u201d University in Skopje,
\nOn behalf of Eurostat<\/a>, We are pleased to announce the launch of the European Statistics Awards on Web Intelligence \u2013 Classification of Occupations for Online Job Advertisements Challenge (WI Classification Challenge), starting on June 1, 2024. It will focus on the development of approaches that learn how to assign a class label (from a known taxonomy) to a job advertisement from a given job ads dataset.<\/p>\n

We believe that the researchers in your country (in particular data scientists) would be most interested in signing up for this opportunity. <\/p>\n

Teams (1\u20135 people per team) will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge of Web Intelligence and programming skills (in particular in Python and R) to a real-world use case and win \u20ac10,000 for first place in the Accuracy award, \u20ac10,000 for first place in the Reusability award, and \u20ac5,000 for first place in the Innovativeness award. By taking first place in all three awards, the team could win up to \u20ac25,000. <\/p>\n

Eurostat is pleased to announce the Web Intelligence Competition \u2013 Classification of occupations for online job advertisements challenge (WI Classification Challenge) \u2013 within the European Statistics Awards<\/a> Program starting in June 2024. The competition aims to stimulate innovation in the area of Web Intelligence for European statistics. The Classification Challenge focuses on the development of approaches that learn how to assign a class label (from a known taxonomy) to a job advertisement from a given job ads dataset.<\/p>\n

Do you know how to code in Python or R? Register by July 15, 2024, and try your luck on your own or with a team of peers. You can win up to \u20ac10,000 for the Accuracy award, \u20ac10,000 for the Reusability award, and \u20ac5,000 for the Innovativeness award. By taking first place in all three categories, your team could win up to \u20ac25,000. <\/p>\n
