Pursuant to Article 163 of the Law on Higher Education (Official Gazette 82 of May 8, 2018), Articles 20 and 53 of the Regulation on the Special Conditions and Procedure for the Election to Teaching-Scientific, Scientific, Teaching-Professional, and Associate Ranks and Demonstrator Positions at the University \u201eSt. Cyril and Methodius\u201c in Skopje, Decision No. 02-2423\/1 of September 26, 2009 on the establishment of criteria for the selection of demonstrators and the Statute of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Skopje, part of the University \u201eSt. Cyril and Methodius\u201c, the following is hereby announced<\/p>\n

Internal Competition<\/p>\n

Selection of demonstrators and industry demonstrators for the 2023\/2024 academic year<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Skopje, part of the University \u201eSt. Cyril and Methodius\u201c, Skopje, is announcing a call for the selection of eleven demonstrators for the 2023\/24 academic year.<\/p>\n

Selection criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

To be elected, the demonstrator must meet the minimum criteria provided for in the Law on Higher Education, the Regulation on Special Conditions and Procedure for Election to Teaching-Scientific, scientific, teaching-professional, and research-associate titles and demonstrators at the University \u201eSt. Cyril and Methodius\u201c in Skopje and the Special Criteria for the Selection of Demonstrators for the 2024\/25 academic year adopted by the Academic Council of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering, and that:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A demonstrator may be a person who is a second- or third-cycle student in a relevant field (Fields from the teaching and scientific disciplines 110 OECD \u2013 Informatics and\/or 212 OECD \u2013 Computer Engineering and Informatics).<\/li>\n
  2. A student who has completed a first-cycle ECTS program with 240 ECTS credits in a relevant field of study may be selected as a demonstrator. (fields from the 110 OECD teaching and scientific disciplines \u2013 Informatics and\/or 212 OECD computer engineering and informatics) with an average grade of at least 8.0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The following are used as selection criteria:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • a 47.51% participation in the average of completed undergraduate degrees<\/li>\n
    • 47.51% participation in the average of the required courses of the undergraduate program the candidate studied.<\/li>\n
    • 5 % from the interview (affinity score for the areas it covers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Candidates who have graduated from higher-ranked universities are given preference. (A weighting factor, or coefficient, is calculated based on the university's rank.)<\/li>\n
      • Candidates who are entered in the Faculty's database of potential demonstrators are given preference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Scope, Fee, and Duration of Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Demonstrators will be engaged as needed to proctor and conduct classroom and laboratory exercises with a maximum workload of 12 hours of classroom exercises or 8 hours of classroom + 8 hours of laboratory exercises (the classroom\/laboratory ratio is 1\/2). In addition to the above, all demonstrators are required to participate in other activities (proctoring exams, promotional activities, etc.).<\/p>\n

        Industry demonstrators will be engaged as needed to conduct classroom and laboratory exercises and to organize colloquia and exams, in accordance with the faculty's requirements.<\/p>\n

        For full maximum engagement, the demonstrator is entitled to compensation of up to 36,000.00 net monthly.<\/p>\n

        The working hours are 40 hours per week, in accordance with the teaching schedule and other additional work assignments. For industry demonstrators, working hours will be determined according to their engagement.<\/p>\n

        The demonstrators are selected until the end of the 2023\/24 academic year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

        Candidates should submit:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Application for the position for which they are applying (demonstrator or industry demonstrator)<\/li>\n
        • Short biography (CV) with phone number and email address<\/li>\n
        • Proof that they are a graduate student in an appropriate graduate program or that they are in the process of applying for admission to a graduate program.<\/li>\n
        • Proof of completion of the first cycle of studies according to the ECTS, with 240 ECTS credits earned and a minimum grade point average of 8.0.<\/li>\n
        • Certificate of completed undergraduate studies<\/li>\n
        • Certificate of proficiency in the Macedonian language if the studies were completed in another language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
