She was born in 1960 in Skopje, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She enrolled at the Faculty of Mathematics in the 1978\/79 academic year and graduated in Mathematics and Informatics in 1983. She earned her master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje, in the field of Computer Engineering and Informatics (CEI), under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Dragan Mihajlov, in 1988, with the defense of her thesis \u201cAlgorithms for Genetic Research.\u201d She received her PhD from the PMF in 1993, defending the dissertation \u201cA Machine Translation System, Realized with the Help of Neural Networks,\u201d under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Du\u0161an Surla from the University of Novi Sad. She was appointed an assistant in 1989, an associate professor in 1994, and a full professor in June 1999. She has been a full professor at the II of the PMF since 2004. In the 1988\/89 academic year, as a British Council scholar, she studied at the Cranfield Institute of Technology in England, and in the summer of 1990, she stayed at the Universit\u00e9 Stendhal and the GETA Institute in Grenoble, France. In 1992, she attended the Contemporary Topics in Computational Linguistics school in Zlatograd, Bulgaria. In 2000, with a Tempus IMG scholarship, she had a short stay at the University of Wolverhampton, School of Computing and Information Technology, Centre of Learning and Teaching, and the Delta Institute. Under Tempus JEP 13577\/98, she was at the University of Loughborough and the University of Leicester in 2000, and under Phare, at the Centre for Open and Distance Learning of the Open University in London and Milton Keynes. Under Tempus JEP 14440\/99, In 2000 and 2001, she had short stays at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, and in 2003, under Tempus IMG03-FYR1007, she stayed in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the REGOC seminar, organized by the IEEE. For the last 5 years, she has taught 15 courses in undergraduate studies \u2013 in computer science: computer applications, programming systems, computer-based learning and applications, fundamentals of artificial intelligence, philosophy of computer science, computer-based learning, Educational Software Design, Computer Systems in Teaching; in Chemistry: Introduction to Informatics and Application of Computers; in Physics: Informatics; in Biology: Informatics for Biologists; in Biology-Chemistry: Mathematics with Informatics; at the Faculty of Dentistry: Application of Computers in Dentistry and Informatics. In the graduate studies in Informatics, she is responsible for the courses: Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Logic Programming, Interactive Multimedia Systems for Learning, and Software Engineering. From the 2000\/01 to 2004\/05 academic years, she taught the application of computer packages in biology in the postgraduate studies at the Institute of Biology. From the 2003\/04 to 2005\/06 academic year, she taught computer science in the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Dentistry. Zdravkova has been or is a mentor for 3 doctoral dissertations and 1 master's thesis. She has published 4 papers in international journals, 2 scientific papers in a domestic journal, 34 papers in proceedings of international scientific conferences, and has given more than 50 professional presentations at international conferences. She is the co-author of two high school textbooks. She has delivered 8 invited lectures at international seminars and conferences. Dr. Zdravkova is the representative for the UNESCO Institute of Information Technology of Education (IITE) for Macedonia and the regional coordinator for Southern Europe. Within the UNESCO IITE, she was the national coordinator for two projects. She is also the coordinator for one project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Macedonia, two projects of the Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst (DAAD), one Tempus project, and one NATO project. She has been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 1999. Zdravkova is a member of the program committees of 4 international conferences. She is a reviewer for the Ministry of Education and Science of Macedonia, the Ministry of Science of Croatia, two international journals, and numerous conferences. She has been awarded the IEEE Special Award for Outstanding Contribution.<\/p>\n
