Goran Velinov defended his doctoral dissertation in Informatics in 2008 (titled \u201eGeneralization and Improvement of Optimization Processes in Relational Data Warehouses\u201c)\u00a0at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University \"St. Cyril and Methodius\" in Skopje.\u00a0In 2009, he was appointed an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, while in 2010 he was appointed an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering (FINKI), where he teaches Advanced Databases. He has published numerous papers in journals and international conferences, mainly in the area of data warehouses and optimization. He has participated in several international projects, such as ELISA, INTERREG IIIB CADSES, 2006-2008; SEE-GRID, 6FP IST project, 2004-2006; SEE-GRID2, 7FP IST project, 2006-2008, etc. His research interests are focused on the design and implementation of data warehouses, data modeling, especially multidimensional modeling, as well as business intelligence systems.<\/p>\n
