Dejan Gjorgjevikj was born in 1967 in Skopje. He earned his bachelor and master degrees at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje, in 1992 and 1997, respectively. He received his PhD degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje in 2004. He has been working at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering since September 1992. He was elected assistant professor in 2004, associate professor in 2009 and full professor in 2014. During this period, he realized several study stays at universities in Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.Since 2011 he is with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. He has participated in over ten international and domestic scientific research projects. As a lecturer he was involved in the implementation and teaching of several courses at undergraduate and graduate level. He has published over 90 scientific papers in international conferences and journals. He is a member of IEEE since 1991 and the ACM since 1997. He was a member of the program committees of several national and international conferences. His research focus areas are: pattern recognition, machine learning and software engineering.
