MKSafeNet Hackathon
Call for participation in the „Click Safe!“ creative contest“
Are you full of ideas, motivated, and ready to make a positive change in the digital world? Apply to the national creative competition „Click Safe!“, which will be held on May 10 and 11, 2025, in Skopje, as part of the MKSafeNet project.
What is „Click Safe!“?
This is a two-day hackathon intended for high school students aged 16 and up from all public and private schools in the country. The goal is to develop creative digital content or software solutions that promote safe and responsible internet use for young people, teachers, parents, and the broader public.
Teams should consist of 2 to 4 participants, with the option of mentor support from a teacher.
Acceptable solution formats include videos, animations, games, infographics, digital tools, and anything innovative that raises digital awareness among young people.
Development ideas:
Here are some guidelines that can help you design the project:

Developing educational tools for digital security: Interactive digital solutions that raise awareness of online risks and teach best practices for safe internet use.

Peer-to-peer digital literacy support: Solutions that will encourage young people to help and educate each other about safe and responsible online behavior.

Combating disinformation and digital manipulation: Solutions/ideas for detecting, critical thinking about, and raising awareness of false or harmful content on the internet.

Promoting healthy and balanced digital habits. Work on ideas that help target audiences develop a mindful and positive relationship with technology and the online world.

Improving collaboration among students, teachers, and parents. Develop concepts that strengthen cooperation and communication about online safety among schools, families, and young people.
Modes of implementation:

Creating interactive content: videos, quizzes, simulations, educational games

Incorporating Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Digital Security

Designing smart tools for safer online spaces in schools
