Public Information

The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering – Skopje, as part of the University The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering – Skopje, part of the University of Skopje „St. Cyril and Methodius,“ as a holder of public information, in accordance with the Law on Free Access to Public Information, ensures public transparency and openness in its work and enables the exercise of the right to free access to public information.
The right to free access to public information may be exercised by any natural or legal person, without discrimination on any grounds, in the manner and under the conditions established by law.
Basic concepts
Public information is information in any form that the Faculty has created or is in its possession, in accordance with its authority.
Information requester is any natural or legal person who may request access to public information, in accordance with the law.
Information holder is the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering – Skopje, part of the University „St. Cyril and Methodius“ in Skopje, within the information it has at its disposal in accordance with its competencies.

How is the right of access exercised?

The applicant may request access to public information by submitting Request for access to public information.
The application can be submitted:
  • in writing;
  • in electronic form;
  • directly in the FINKI archive;
  • by mail to the address of the Faculty;
  • via the email address designated for receiving requests for public access to information.
The Seeker is not required to justify the request, but must specify the information to which it is requesting access in a way that allows it to be identified.
The procedure for exercising the right of free access is carried out in accordance with the Law on Free Access to Public Information.

Exceptions to free access

Access to information may be restricted only in cases and under conditions specified by the Law on Free Access to Public Information, especially when it concerns information for which there is a legal basis for restricting access.
When processing requests, FINKI also applies the regulations in the field of Protection of personal data, as well as other relevant regulations.
The law governs the manner and procedure for exercising the right of access to information held by bodies and organizations established by law, institutions and public services, and other information holders.
