Personal Data Protection

The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering – FINK at the University „St. Cyril and Methodius“ in Skopje, within the scope of its activities, processes personal data of students, applicants for enrollment, employees, external collaborators, visitors, and other natural persons.
FINKI processes personal data in accordance with The Personal Data Protection Act and applicable regulations, in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, and integrity and confidentiality.

FINKI, within the scope of its competencies and activities, processes personal data in order to fulfill its statutory, educational, scientific research, administrative, and other functions.
2. Data subjects
Personal data may particularly refer to:
  • candidates for enrollment in studies;
  • undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students;
  • Graduates and alumni;
  • faculty and staff;
  • administrative and technical personnel;
  • job applicants;
  • external collaborators and engaged individuals;
  • participants in projects, conferences, training, and other activities;
  • users of FINKI's electronic services and systems;
  • visitors to the website and other individuals whose data is processed within the Faculty's legal authority.
3. Data Protection Officer
FINKI has a certain Personal Data Protection Officer, which carries out the tasks established by the Personal Data Protection Act.

4. Rights of data subjects
Data subjects have the right, in accordance with applicable legal provisions, to request:
  • information about the processing of their personal data;
  • access to personal data;
  • correction and completion of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erasure of personal data, when the legal conditions are met;
  • restriction of processing;
  • objection to processing, when the legal conditions are met;
  • portability of personal data, where applicable;
  • withdrawal of given consent, when the processing is based on consent;
  • other rights in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
5. Request for the exercise of rights
The data subject may submit a written request to FINKI to exercise their rights.
