Dr. Andreja Naumoski

Prof. Dr. Andrea Naumoski is a full professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering (FINKI) at the University „St. Cyril and Methodius“ in Skopje. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2006 and a master's degree in 2008, respectively, and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in 2012. He began his scientific and research career in 2006, actively participating as a researcher on international and domestic projects. He began his teaching career in 2009, and in 2023, he was appointed a full professor at FINK. His teaching responsibilities include lecturing and leading classroom exercises for several courses. Since 2024, he has been the head of the Master's program in Eco-informatics and the Laboratory of Ecoinformatics. Through these activities, students acquire practical knowledge in ecological modeling, implementation of geographic information systems (GIS), monitoring and processing of environmental data, remote sensing, data mining, data visualization, and the application of smart sensor networks. Prof. Dr. Naumoski possesses advanced knowledge and practical expertise in modern frontend and backend technologies for creating intelligent information systems, with a focus on web, desktop, Android, Smart IoT Home, and GIS applications with modules for environmental data analysis that include machine learning, as well as hardware knowledge for integrating systems for measuring various environmental parameters. Research areas of interest include machine learning from environmental data, GIS, modeling and prediction of dynamic processes, fuzzy logic, and time series analysis. A special emphasis is placed on the development of intelligent decision support systems, which find application in various domains. Prof. Dr. Naumoski's professional career includes participation in several international projects funded by the Interreg IPA, Tempus, and FP6 programs, as well as bilateral scientific initiatives. He is the author and co-author of more than one hundred scientific papers published in prestigious international journals and conferences, including papers with an impact factor
