Dr. Bojana Koteska

Bojana Koteska graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE) in Skopje in 2011, specialising in Software Engineering, with a grade average of 9.87 as the best student of her generation. She received the “Gold Coin” Award from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University and the “Golden Engineering Ring” from the Engineering Institution of Macedonia. In 2012, she defended her master’s thesis and obtained a Master of Computer Science degree in software engineering. In 2018, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering under the supervision of Professor Anastas Mishev.

In 2010, she was appointed a demonstrator at the Institute of Informatics within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, and in 2011 at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. She was appointed a doctoral teaching assistant in 2017, assistant professor in 2018, and associate professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in 2023. She teaches or has taught several first- and second-cycle courses, including Algorithms and Data Structures, Software Quality and Testing, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Introduction to Computer Science, Software Testing Process Management, Testing High-Performance Computing Software, Databases, Information Systems Management, and Software Engineering.

She has participated as a researcher in fifteen international and twenty national research projects, leading three of them. To date, she has authored or co-authored more than 80 scientific papers published in journals and presented at national and international conferences. She has co-authored two books. Her research interests include software quality, biomedical-signal processing, biosensors and machine learning.
