Dr. Dragan Mihajlov

He was born in Skopje in 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb in 1973, obtained his master’s degree there in 1975, and obtained his doctorate from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana in 1979. From 1973 to 1983, he worked at the Mathematical Institute with Numerical Centre of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, where he was appointed assistant professor in 1982. In 1983, he joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje as an assistant professor. He was appointed associate professor in 1987 and full professor in 1992. During his career, he undertook study visits lasting several months at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb in 1974, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana in 1978, and the Department of Biomathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, during the 1984/1985 academic year. He has taught undergraduate and master’s courses in his areas of interest at several institutions, including the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Military Academy, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Physical Education, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, and the Institute for Sociological, Political and Legal Research. He has authored or co-authored more than 150 papers published in international conference proceedings and journals. He has managed and participated in numerous scientific and professional projects. He received the award for the best paper in biocybernetics at the Yugoslav ETAN Conference. His areas of interest include programming, application software, computer graphics, multimedia and biocybernetics.
