Dr. Hristina Mihajloska
Kristina Mihajloska was born in 1985 in Ohrid, Macedonia. She graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Institute of Informatics in Skopje, in 2008. In 2011, she earned a Master's degree in Informatics from the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering (FINKI) in Skopje, in the TEMPUS – Software Engineering program. Her master's thesis is in the field of symmetric cryptography and is titled “Analysis and Construction of Optimal Substitution Tables for Block Ciphers using Quasigroups,” under the mentorship of Danilo Gligorovski. a full professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. In March 2017, she received her PhD from the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering (FINK) in Skopje, with a doctoral dissertation in the field of cryptography titled “Lightweight Cryptography from the Perspective of Quasigroup Theory” under the mentorship of Prof. Gligorovski.
Throughout her studies, she has been continuously recognized for her achievements.
After graduating, she was employed as a junior assistant at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Institute of Informatics in Skopje. Since 2011, she has worked as an assistant at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering (FINKI) in Skopje. Her work as an assistant includes preparing and conducting classroom and laboratory exercises for courses such as: programming, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, software quality and testing, cryptography, and information security.
She has participated in multiple international and domestic research projects. As part of her research work, she has participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and summer schools. She is the author and co-author of numerous research papers. She has participated in the CAESAR authentication encryption world competition as part of the π-Cipher cipher team. Her current focus is on authentication encryption, lightweight cipher design, and provable security within the field of symmetric cryptography.
