Dr. Ljupcho Antovski

Born in 1977 in Skopje. He completed his elementary and high school education in Skopje. He participated in national competitions in physics and computer science. In 1996, he enrolled at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje, where he was awarded for excellent academic performance in all academic years. He graduated in 2001 as the top student of the Computer Engineering, Informatics, and Automation program, with a grade point average of 9.83, for his thesis titled “Software Package for Intelligent Fuzzy-Logic Control of Thermal Processes.” He enrolled in postgraduate studies in 2001 at the II of the PMF. He graduated with a 10.00 GPA in 2003 with the defense of his thesis titled “Mobile Payments“. In 2005, he was awarded the World Summit Award in the e-science category. He received his doctorate in January 2008 with a doctoral dissertation on the topic “A New Model of Mobile and Wireless Electronic Public Services.” He began his professional development during his undergraduate studies with internships at the following companies: Sysdat in Budapest, MTNet and Forum – CSRD in Skopje. In 2001, he worked at the company Peksim on electronic banking projects. In 2001, he was employed at the Faculty of Informatics as a demonstrator, and in 2002, he was elected a junior assistant. In 2004, he was appointed as an assistant at the Institute of Informatics (II). He teaches exercises for the following courses: Information Systems, Computer Architecture, Computer Applications, Internet Technologies, Internet, Multimedia,Programming Languages, Introduction to Computer Science, Computer Science – for students of Social Policy and Work. In 2008, he was appointed an Associate Professor at PMF. In 2012, he was appointed an Associate Professor at FINKI. He is the responsible instructor for the undergraduate courses: Software Requirements Analysis, Software Construction, E-Business Architectures and Design, Wireless and Mobile Technologies, Software Project Management, ICT Management, Semantically Enabled Architectures, Computer Architecture. He teaches the following graduate-level courses: Requirements Engineering, Software Project Management, and Object-Oriented Architectures for Massive Systems. His research areas are: electronic voting systems, semantic-enabled architectures, mobile and ubiquitous applications, and e-business and e-government services. In total, he has published over peer-reviewed scientific papers in scientific journals and at international scientific conferences. He was a regular columnist with expert articles in Life magazine. He is the author of one university textbook. He has participated in several international research and educational projects on structural reforms, such as: Technical Assistance for the Support to the Decentralization Process, SWEB Secure, interoperable, cross-border m-services contributing towards a trustful European cooperation with the non-EU member Western Balkan countries, WE-GO Enhancing Western Balkan e-Government Expertise, Development and Implementation of a Resource Management Information System for the Albanian State Police, Workflow and Document Management Infrastructure towards Integrated University, Technical Assistance for Vocational Education Training, Technical Assistance to Institutional Building in Support of Employment Policy phases 1 and 2, Management and Business Education in Computer Studies, Implementation of Modules and ECTS, Labor Market Analysis in the Border Region, Information and Communication Technologies for the Development of Education and the Construction of a Knowledge Society, Innovation of Computer Science Curriculum in Higher Education, Mobile and Wireless Security Protocols and Standards. He is the author of the information system for the State Election Commission of Macedonia, the Central Election Commission of Kosovo and the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the author of the proposed architecture for the Administration for Civil Registration. He works as an ICT expert. He is the chairman of the ICT Technical Committee at the Institute for Standardization of the Republic of Macedonia. He is a member of the following scientific and professional organizations: IST-ACT, Mobile Consortium International, World Federation of Scientists, World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Association of Computer Machinery, the Society for Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation, and Informatics, the Engineering Association of Macedonia, and IAESTE.
