Dr. Smilka Janeska-Sarkanjac

She was born in 1968 in Prilep. In 1992, she graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, majoring in Computer Engineering and Automation. In 2005, she enrolled in graduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, in the MBA Management program, and received her master's degree in 2009 with the thesis „Information Technology in the Enterprise Strategy.“ In June 2011, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Economics of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, titled „Strategic Models of e-Governance“. In 2009, she was appointed an assistant at the American College of University in Skopje, at the Faculty of Business Economics and Organizational Sciences, and in 2011 she was appointed an assistant at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. She has many years of experience in the ICT sector in Macedonia. She has worked in the ICT departments of several private sector companies in various positions, including programmer, business analyst, IT administrator, team lead for application software development, and Director of the IT Department at an insurance company. She was engaged as a senior IT expert by the European Reconstruction Agency. She has attended numerous training courses, primarily in the fields of management and information technology. She has authored several professional and academic papers. Her field of interest is information systems, from the perspective of their application, management, and strategies in private and public sector companies, as well as the application of information and communication technologies for development.
