Dr. Suzana Loshkovska

She was born in Skopje in 1966. She obtained her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje in 1988 and 1992, respectively. She completed her doctoral studies at the Vienna University of Technology in Austria in 1995. She has worked at the Institute of Computer Engineering and Informatics within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje since February 1992, initially as a junior teaching assistant, and was appointed teaching assistant in 1995. During her professional career, she advanced through the academic ranks of assistant professor, associate professor and full professor in 1997, 2002 and 2007, respectively. From 2004 to 2008, she served as Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies. She is the author of approximately one hundred scientific papers in computer engineering and informatics, nine papers concerning the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System, and two textbooks for secondary-school students. She has participated in and led numerous national and international research projects. She is a member of the international associations IEEE, ACM and IASTED. Since 2006, she has served as Vice-Chair of the IEEE Section of the Republic of Macedonia. She is a member of the editorial board of INFORMATICA, an international journal of computing and informatics published in the Republic of Slovenia. Her research focuses on data visualisation, user interfaces, virtual reality and medical informatics.
