Lazaris of the School of Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, together with partners from the School of Medicine at the University of Zagreb, Croatia; Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands; the Centre for Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology (CARDET) in Cyprus; and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Macedonia, is co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission for a three-year period, from January 2013 to December 2015.

Following three years of intensive work, the participating pathologists, together with IT experts and specialists in innovative learning design, developed a self-contained, well-structured, easy-to-use multilingual e-learning platform that provides a valuable teaching tool for students, researchers and professionals.
