| 10. | Objectives of the course programme (competences) | The principal objective of coding theory is to identify codes that ensure rapid and accurate transmission over a noisy channel. Different codes are optimal for different applications. The purpose of the course is to introduce the fundamental error-detecting and error-correcting codes and their practical applications. |
