Objectives of the course programme (competences)

Personalized learning is a modern approach to instruction that meets the individual needs of each student. Students are equipped to recognize the specific ways in which elementary and secondary school students acquire knowledge. Students will learn how to meet the challenge of incorporating personalized learning into the traditional classroom and how to foster the acquisition of new knowledge among different learning styles.

Course content

Introduction to personalized learning - educational models, tools, design, and support for establishing a personalized learning environment, theory of motivation and engagement in the learning process, tools for understanding each student's learning style, student-centered assessment, technology and assessment, using technology to enhance teaching and learning in a personalized environment, ) developing collegial relationships and collaborative learning, changing the teacher's role - the teacher as a facilitator of new knowledge acquisition

Learning methods

Lectures using presentations, interactive lectures, exercises (using equipment and software packages), teamwork, case studies, guest lectures, independent preparation and defense of a project assignment and a seminar paper.
