| 10. | Objectives of the course programme (competences) | This course covers the contemporary theory and practice that addresses the question of how to start and how to lead. small business. It covers the critical issues of small businesses from a theoretical perspective and through numerous real-world examples, with the goal of helping students apply the presented business management concepts. The course focuses on leadership, decision-making, management, marketing, financing, and other essential processes that enable a successful startup and a long-term sustainable small business. |

Topics include developing a business plan through designing a competitive business model, developing a strategic plan, conducting a feasibility analysis, analyzing forms of ownership, franchise, purchasing an existing business, planning marketing activities, pricing strategies, creating a successful financial plan, cash flow management, selecting the best location, planning a team for new ventures. |
