| 10. | Objectives of the course programme (competences) | The course emphasizes the need for effective risk and change management. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to independently identify problems related to risk management and its application in information security and software project changes, and to apply various methods and techniques to resolve these issues. | ||||||||||||
| 11. | Course content | Basic concepts of risk management; the importance of risk management for business success; types of risks; risk analysis; systems, models, and frameworks for information security risk management; objectives of risk management; risk identification; risk management strategies; change management in software projects, risk assessment during changes, organizational changes in IT environments, IT process improvement, transition to open source and consumer software, case studies of projects from: IT security, cloud computing, agile methods, over-budget and severely delayed projects, government projects, and new technologies. | ||||||||||||
