| 10. | Objectives of the course programme (competences) | The goal of the course is to familiarize students with the theoretical foundations of statistical methodology. | ||||||||||||
| 11. | Course content | Random vectors and joint distributions. Convergence of random variables. Sufficient statistics. Principles of Point estimation. Estimation by the method of moments, Bayesian estimation, optimality in estimation, interval estimation and hypothesis testing. Nonparametric tests. |
