| 10. | Objectives of the course programme (competences) | The goal of the course will be to provide the student with knowledge of advanced concepts, such as both in conventional relational and in non-relational databases. Upon completion of the course, the student is expected to know the rigorous theoretical aspects. which are built into modern database management systems, as well as the latest trends and open problems from a theoretical and practical perspective in the development of databases. |

| 11. | Course content | The topics covered in this course are: Data modeling – models, techniques, and tools; Multi-model databases; Relational database model – advanced concepts (relational algebra, relational calculus, functional dependencies, normalization); Architecture of Modern Database Management Systems – An Overview from the inside; noun Many large databases, spatial, semi-structured, and unstructured databases; Object-relational and object-oriented databases Semantic databases; File-organized and distributed databases; Memory databases; Blockchain and databases. |
