9. Prerequisites for enrolling in the course At least 120 ECTS credits earned
10. Objectives of the course programme (competences) Students will be introduced to the challenges they will face if they decide to start their own business. They will be able to conduct initial market research, define the metrics to track their business's success, and know how to recognize whether they have delivered value to their customers. Finally, they will be equipped to present themselves to potential clients, partners, and investors.
11. Course content Lectures:
1. General information about the course, class structure, guest lecturers, and assessment method.
2. Introduction to Entrepreneurship: concept of value from the perspective of the founder, client, and customer; business as a balance of values; template for a value proposition; the concept of persona as a tool for market segmentation.
3. Types of entrepreneurship; Social entrepreneurship; Users versus customers; user - problem - solution; The dual function of ICT in entrepreneurship; Trends, Creating new markets, What is innovation; Types of innovation
4. Process of implementing an innovation in a service or product; Market concept; How to understand market demand; Organizational support for innovation; How to recognize innovation
5. Idea Evaluation; Types of Idea Evaluation; Phases of Idea Evaluation;
6. Lean process; Design thinking; Lean startup;
7. Business Canvas and Lean Canvas; Elements of the Business Canvas, Elements of the Lean Canvas; an iterative process for creating the canvas; maturity levels of the canvases
