9. Prerequisites for enrolling in the course
10. Objectives of the course programme (competences) The course is designed to introduce students to the field of human resource management, as one of the most important resources in a company. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to independently identify, analyze, and solve problems related to human resource management, to properly recruit and select employees, to evaluate training, development, and performance management programs, to understand the nature of employee relations and to plan and execute other activities in order for employees to contribute to the company's success in the most effective and efficient way.
11. Course content The role of human resources in developing and supporting the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals, in formulating policies, leading the change process, and evaluating the contribution of human resources to the company's effectiveness. Topics include human capital measurement, the manager's role in strategic human resource planning, human resource needs planning, employee recruitment, testing and selection, candidate interviewing, employee training and development, performance management, career development, talent management, establishing strategic compensation and benefits plans, performance-based pay, financial motivation and benefits, ethics, fairness and equitable treatment, human resource management in entrepreneurial companies.
