Miroslav Mirchev was born in 1986 in Skopje. In 2008 he graduated from the Faculty of electrotechnics and information technologies, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in the program for Informatics and computer engineering. He finished his master studies in 2009 in the program computer networks and e-technologies under the mentorship of academic prof. Ljupcho Kocarev. In 2007 he has started working as a demonstrator at the Institute for computer technics and informatics at the Faculty of electrotechnics and information technologies in Skopje, and in 2010 he was elected as junior assistant. In 2010 he was on a three-month research stay at the City University of Hong Kong. In 2011 he started his PhD studies at the Polytechnic University in Turin, and during his studies he had a six-month research stay at the University of California, San Diego and a one month stay at the Institute Jozef Stefan in Ljubljana. He finished his PhD in 2014 with a thesis titled “Comparative processes of complex networks with imperfections” under the mentorship of prof. Mario Biey, prof. Fernando Corinto and prof. Ljupco Kocarev. In 2014 he was elected as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and in 2019 as associate professor at the same faculty. His main areas of scientific research are network science, machine learning, artificial intelligence. He has published a large number of scientific articles in international journals and conferences. He participated in several international and national projects, and a few applicative projects. He was a member of the program committee of several international conferences and a chair of one international conference.
