Subject goals and competencies:


Students will be introduced to the challenges they will face if they decide to start their own businesses. They will be able to do initial market research, define metrics to track the success of their business, and know how to recognize if they have provided value to their customers. Finally, they will be able to present themselves to potential clients, partners and investors.

Subject content:


The lectures are close to the form of a start-up weekend. Students will have the opportunity to contact many representatives and stakeholders of the start-up community. Concept of values ​​from different aspects of stakeholders in a business. Concept of innovation, types of innovation and how to implement innovation in a business. Introduction to Entrepreneurship. Evaluation of ideas. Market research. Business and Lean canvas. Types of product and/or service presentation. Start-up metrics. Managing finances in a start-up environment. Possible organizational structures of a start-up. Principles of business scaling. Legal regulation related to start-up companies in Macedonia. Access to finance.
