Subject goals and competencies:


After completion of the course, the student is expected to understand and have deeper knowledge of types of business processes and their relationship to information systems, will have deeper knowledge in identification, modeling and mapping various types of business processes, will be able to apply tools and languages for business process modeling through appropriate diagrams, will have knowledge of the principles for improving process flow, will have knowledge of the concepts of data exchange and interoperability.

Subject content:


Introduction to business processes. Phases of the cycle for business process management. Identification of business processes. Languages for business process modeling. Business process modeling with BPMN. Choreography diagram. Process discovery. Qualitative analysis of business processes. Quantitative analysis of business processes. Process redesign. Automation of business processes. Business process mining.
