Subject goals and competencies:


Students will be introduced to the concept of distance learning, technologies that support distance learning, such as and the benefits of using it. By listening to this course students will be able to plan and design, to learn how distance learning systems are implemented, they will realize the difference between courses in learning on distance and courses in classical teaching, the role of the instructor and the student in this system, as well as the present and the future of distance learning systems

- Basics and basic concepts of distance learning - Theories of learning. - Application of technology in distance learning. - Distance learning systems - Types and examples of distance learning systems - Technologies and methods for planning, development and implementation of distance learning systems - Course design and course content. - Digital content - Tools for creating digital content - The role of the instructor and the student in distance learning - Distance learning and social networks - The future of distance learning
