Subject goals and competencies:


To introduce the student to the main concepts, topics and trends of smart and sustainable cities, the role of information in the design of network resources and the impact on urban design, development and urban living.

Subject content:


What are smart cities? Architecture and design of smart cities. Technologies at the hardware and network level. Data and application layer of smart cities. Smart urban energy networks. Smart urban transport systems. Smart urban healthcare systems. Urban models. Agent-based urban models. Application and trends of machine learning in smart cities. Description of examples of smart cities.

Предавања со користење на презентации, интерактивни предавања, вежби (користење на опрема и софтверски пакети), тимска работа, пример случаи, поканети гости предавачи, самостојна изработка и одбрана на проектна задача и семинарска работа.
