Bojana Koteska graduated from the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (FINKI) in Skopje in 2011, majoring in software engineering, with an average grade of 9.87, as the best student in her generation. She is the recipient of the "Golden Coin" award from the University "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" and the "Golden Ring" from the Organization of Engineers of Macedonia. In 2012, she defended her master's thesis and obtained the scientific title of Master of Information Sciences in the field of software engineering. She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2018 under the mentorship of Prof. Anastas Mishev at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering. In 2010, she was elected as a demonstrator at the Institute of Informatics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje and in 2011 at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering. In 2017, she was elected as an assistant doctoral student, in 2018, she was promoted to assistant professor, and in 2023, she was elected as an associate professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering. She has taught several undergraduate and master courses, including Algorithms and Data Structures, Software Quality and Testing, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Introduction to Computer Science, Software Testing Process Management, High-Performance Computing Software Testing, Databases, Information Systems Management, and Software Engineering.
She has participated in 15 international and 20 domestic scientific research projects as a researcher, including three as a coordinator. She has published over 80 scientific papers in journals and domestic and international conferences as an author and co-author. She is a co-author of two books. Her areas of scientific interest are software quality, biomedical signal processing, biosensors, and machine learning.
