Новото рангирање ќе биде  направено  без притоа да се промени редоследот на претходно рангираните кандидати. Postgraduate studies in intelligent systems aim to provide top scientific and research staff to meet the growing demand for highly qualified engineers capable of overcoming the most challenging development, research and process problems. Students in this study program gain knowledge that provides them with great professional flexibility and a wide selection of jobs wherever there is a need to apply problem-solving skills, as well as critical thinking skills, which they will use to solve complex problems. which are in the domain of intelligent systems. Students enrolling and graduating in this field are highly sought after in companies and research centers. In addition to being trained to participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of a variety of applications in the field of intelligent systems, including the business domain, they will have the necessary basis to pursue doctoral studies, as well as to participate in interdisciplinary science projects. and technology.

  • Introductory layer : Students who have earned less than 240 credits during their studies are offered a set of differential introductory courses. After their successful realization, the student acquires the right to continue with the first semester of postgraduate studies.

In addition to these courses, the student can choose from all elective courses, defined for all study programs, from the second cycle that are serviced by the faculty. Each student with IT background, who has an idea to implement ICT solutions in agriculture is invited to apply to the Incubator4digital farming project [https://www.incubator4digitalfarming.org/].

You need only to shortly formulate in a few sentences the problem you are aiming to solve and the solution you are proposing. Based on this your idea will be evaluated by the expert board, and 10 ideas form Macedonia will qualify for the next rounds of mentoring and support. After that, the authors of the best ideas will get an opportunity for five days of intensive training and mentoring in Budapest, Hungary. At the end of the competition, the three winners will be chosen and they will get financial support also.

The Startup Acceleration Program – Spring 2019 will be the first program run by the newly established Accelerator UKIM, which is supported by the Fund for Innovations and Technology Development. In the next three years, about EUR 500,000 will be invested in selected startups from Macedonia.

During the 8-week program, domestic and foreign experts will work with the selected startups and support their business development. The Program will end with a Demo Day, when the startups will have a chance to pitch their venture in front of Accelerator UKIM’s Investment Committee, for potential investment of up to EUR 25,000.

The startup acceleration program is open to early stage startups, entrepreneurs and companies that:
• Have innovative and technology driven product/service prototype;
• Have a great and functional team;
• Are dedicated to problem-solving, with flexible mindset and open for criticism;
• Are registered company in Macedonia not older than 5 years, or willing to register by the end of the program.

NSUCRYPTO is the unique cryptographic Olympiad containing scientific mathematical problems for school students, university students and professionals from any country. Its aim is to involve young researchers in solving curious and tough scientific problems of modern cryptography.

It consists of two independent Internet rounds:
-       the first round (individual) will be held on October 13, 2019;
-       the second round (team) will be held during October 14 – October 21, 2019.

The First round (duration 4 hours 30 minutes) is individual and consists of two sections: A and B. Theoretical problems in mathematics of cryptography are offered to participants. The Second round (duration 1 week) is devoted to research and programming problems of cryptography solved in teams.

EuroCC

Within the EuroCC project under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 (H2020), participating countries are tasked with establishing a single National Competence Centre (NCC) in the area of high-performance computing (HPC) in their respective countries. These NCCs will coordinate activities in all HPC-related fields at the national level and serve as a contact point for customers from industry, science, (future) HPC experts, and the general public alike. The EuroCC activities—with 33 member and associated countries on board—is coordinated by the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS). The project aims to elevate the participating countries to a common high level in the fields of HPC, HPDA and artificial intelligence (AI). To this end, the EuroCC project will establish National Competence Centres (NCCs) in the participating countries, which will be responsible for surveying and documenting the core HPC, HPDA, and AI activities and competencies in their respective countries. Ultimately, the goal is to make HPC available to different users from science, industry, public administration, and society.

The role of FCSE, UKIM in the project

FCSE, UKIM is the National HPC Competence Center in Macedonia, taking the leading role in developing the roadmap, capacity building, training as well as the facilitation of access to expertise. It will interface with industry partners to enlarge the HPC application nationwide.

In the scope of the Horizon Europe INDUSAC project students of all programmes are invited to join 3- and 6-member international teams and solve the company's challenges, while they also:

  • gain experience in working with companies,
  • create an international network,
  • receive up to 1000 EUR gross per student.

Currently, more than 70 different challenges from Slovenian and European companies are published on the platform INDUSAC and they cover different topics from the fields of economy, ICT and natural sciences.

Further steps:

  1. Students or Researchers select a challenge,
  2. Students or Researchers register on the platform (the registration form is different),
  3. within a specific challenge join the Slack community, where they first select the channel with the name of the specific challenge and then can connect with other students. The team can be formed also outside Slack.
  4. Once an international team is formed (3 different countries, 60% from widening and associated countries), the team (at least one female or male student) prepare a joint Motivation letter (short CV) and submit it to the company through the platform by 11 February 2024.
  5. If the Motivation letter is approved by the company, students may begin solving the challenge presumably at the beginning of March 2024.
